First and most importantly, our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all individuals across the globe who have been impacted by COVID-19. We also share in the expressions of gratitude for all healthcare workers, first responders and essential workers who have answered the call for help, and who have given their best to help the world in whatever manner they could. We are surrounded by honorable actions of courage and selflessness and we have remained grateful for the opportunity to do our part.
As an essential employer, Flexan operations have remained open. We have successfully implemented our business continuity plans while following the guidelines issued by the CDC and other regulatory agencies to protect the well-being of our employees, and the integrity of the products which we are trusted to produce. We have also worked hard to provide frequent, factual, and transparent communication with our employees, customers, and suppliers to operate as effectively as possible. We have provided direct support for our employees and their families as they dealt with confirmed cases, and potential risks, and we extended the availability of our PPE supplies and resources to customers and other healthcare providers when they experienced supply shortages or times of need. In short- we are doing what we can to support our role as supplier, employer, and citizen.
Our manufacturing plants, at all locations, are now operating at full capacity as we help our customers prepare for the next stage of their business response. We know this support looks different based on geography, product line and supply chain. But just as we supported the uncertainty which came with early stages of the virus, we are prepared to support the fluctuations which will come with the recovery. We will stand tall to the challenge, and we will ensure that our customers can count on us to support them as they work to restore their operations and even respond to challenging new surges in demand.
This pandemic will leave an everlasting imprint on our lives, and we know that it is not over. It has provided a reminder that we live in a truly global world which is interconnected and highly dependent on each other to achieve great things. It has also delivered impressionable moments which reflect the resilience of mankind, the power which exists in trust and kindness, and the will to endure. Now more than ever, we cannot ignore the reality that we are #inthistogether, in all forms of response and healing.
Lastly, I want to acknowledge the dedication and commitment of the more than 800 Flexan employees who are proud to do our part to support the needs of others. I want to also thank our customers and our suppliers, who have continued to show us the truest meaning of partnership; partnerships that are some of the strongest that I have observed in my career.
